Pakistan has a unique place in the world in terms of tourism. Thus, all areas of Pakistan are rich in natural beauty. But the northern region of Pakistan is unique in the world because of its picturesque landscapes, high mountains, natural lakes, lush green mountain ranges. Thousands of foreign tourists visit these areas annually, and millions from within the country. Some of these areas are in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and some are in Gilgit-Baltistan. Here we will give a brief introduction about some of the famous places of Gilgit division.
Administratively,
Gilgit-Baltistan is divided into three divisions. Gilgit Division, Baltistan
Division, and Diamer Division. Here we discuss the tousit points in 4 districts
of Gilgit division. A total of four districts in Gilgit division including
Gilgit district, Ghizar district, Nagar district and Hunza district.
Gilgit District
Gilgit is the Headquarter
of Gilgit-Baltistan. And all government offices are located in Gilgit. There
are many famous places in Gilgit district in terms of tourism.Naltar Valley, Gilgit
The most famous of
these is Naltar Valley. The Naltar ski track located there is of international
importance. And there are annual international ski competitions. Naltar Lake
and its lush alpine forests and lush pastures attract tourists. Considering the
tourist importance of Naltar Valley, the Gilgit-Baltistan government has
formally started construction of Naltar Expressway. The construction of which
will make it easier for tourists.
Gilgit's second most popular tourist
destination is Bagrot Valley. The area is famous for its unique geography,
glaciers, lakes and forests. There are many more tourist attractions in Gilgit
district including Kargah Nala Buddha Park and Haramosh Valley.
Ghizar District
The district is famous for its natural lakes. The natural lakes there are unique. Khalti Lake is the most famous of these lakes. Phander Valley is considered to be the most beautiful valley not only in Ghizar district but also in the whole of Gilgit-Baltistan. Which is famous for its unique natural landscape and beauty. The world’s highest Polo ground is located between district Ghizar and Chitral district of KPK. The Shandor Polo ground hosts annual polo competitions between Gilgit and Chitral.

A large number of domestic and foreign
tourists turn to Shandor to enjoy it. With the efforts of the Gilgit-Baltistan
government, the federal government has approved the construction of the Ghizar
Expressway. Which will connect Gilgit with Chitral via Ghazar District. The
expressway will also be an alternative to the Karakoram Highway and will be
easily accessible to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. Which will significantly
increase tourism.
District Nagar
District Nagar is very famous in natural and scenic beauty, Nagar district is 40km from Gilgit city on the Karakoram Highway. Ghulmat is the most popular tourist destination and it is the Viewpoint of Rakaposhi. From where you can see the eyechating and charming view of Rakaposhi.

There are many hotels and restaurants. About 20 minutes away from Karakoram Highway are the popular tourist destinations of Nagar, Pissan and Minapin villages which have become famous in all over the world for their beauty and charming scenery. The natural cricket stadium, which has recently become popular in the domestic and foreign media, is also located in the same village of Pisan. From where there is a fascinating view of Rakaposhi. Minapin village is famous for being the base camp of Rakaposhi and Diran Peak. Among the popular tourist attractions of this village are Hapakhun, Taghafri and Khachheli lake.

Another popular tourist destination of Nagar valley is Hoper Valley. Rush Lake is also located in Hoper valley, and it is the highest lake there. Many glaciers, such as Barpo Glacier and Biafo Glacier and Golden peak is situated in this valley.
Some of the other tourist destinations spots in Nagar valley are. Guppa
Valley, Daiter Valley, Gapa valley, Mumber Valley, Barter and Hisper village, are
famous destinations.
Hunza District
In terms of tourism, Hunza district is considered to be the most famous district of Gilgit-Baltistan and full of tourist facilities. Historic sites Baltit Fort and Altit Fort are located in Hunza valley. Karimabad is the most famous tourist destination. Where excellent comfortable hotels have been built. There are views of snow-capped mountains and charming valleys all around Karimabad that will captivate every eye.

Lake Ataabad is becoming an important tourist destination. Where tourists
enjoy rowing and swimming. There is also a tourist resort. From where tourists
enjoy this natural lake and other sights.
Khanjrab Pass is located on the Pak-China border. Its beauty also attracts
tourists. Khanjarab National Park is also home to some of the rarest wildlife,
deer, markhor and other wildlife.
Many more places in Hunza district are famous for tourism. Among them are
Gulmit, Pusso cones, Shamshal, Chapursan, Sust, Ganish, Aliabad and Nasirabad.
